Bowler Real Estate Appraisal Principal Edward V. Bowler, MAI, SRA has provided real property valuation services throughout Massachusetts for 37 years. The MAI (General) and SRA (Residential) designations are the valuation profession’s most recognized and most difficult to earn.
Over the years, Bowler’s firm has appraised virtually all types of real property; from a simple residential lot, single family home or condominium to large, multi- tenant retail, office and industrial properties. He has also prepared numerous valuation and consulting reports on vacant land tracts; land proposed for development with single family homes and condominiums as well as land being purchased for conservation purposes.
The firm has conducted valuation and consulting assignments for financing, litigation, eminent domain, tax abatement, estate settlement, estate management, highest and best use and property marketing purposes.
Mr. Bowler has instructed real estate appraisal courses for over 30 years, receiving outstanding evaluations from hundreds of students. He served on the Appraisal Institute’s National Education Committee in 2006 and 2007 as well as from 2013 to 2015.
Mr. Bowler served on the Institute’s National Board of Directors in 2006 and 2007. He has enthusiastically participated in the Massachusetts and Rhode Island Chapter of the AI; serving as its president in 1999. Mr. Bowler currently serves as the Chapter’s Education Chairman.
